The End Of The World Commeth

So I've just started university and I'm studying philosophy. Ok, simple enough. Until I have to pick other subjects to study as well - just because the University thinks it would be a good idea. After much deliberation (well actually, none at all) I decided on the other subjects.

Now to the crux of the matter - the University is letting me loose in the Theology department...... oh the fun to be had. So I just figured I'd let all you fine people know that I shall be systematically… Continue

Adopted Philosophy

I contend that we are all Atheists, I just believe in one fewer God than you do.
When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible Gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.

Just a quick thought.

Over and out

Dawkins Has It Right

Philosophy is comprised of questions that may never be answered, whereas religion is comprised of 'answers' that may never be questioned. Dawkins makes a very valid point - where does all of this undeserved respect for religion come from? And why the hell can't we get rid of it?

If I was to turn around tomorrow and preach that we should declare war on New Zealand because that's where The Lord of the Rings was filmed (stay with me) and that film was based upon a rather weighty tome by… Continue

I Thought Discrimination Was Supposed To Be Dead....

.... I know, naive of me.

A little article I was reading.......

"After six years of childless marriage, John and Cynthia Burke of Newark decided to adopt a baby boy through a state agency. Since the Burkes were young, scandal-free and solvent, they had no trouble with the New Jersey Bureau of Children's Services—until investigators came to the line on the application that asked for the couple's religious affiliation.

John Burke, an atheist, and his wife, a… Continue

Just Something To Make You Sick

The Following is from

"On October 18, 2004, Arthur Shelton, a self described Christian and Eagle Scout, murdered his friend and roommate, Larry Hooper, because Hooper didn't believe in God.

On December 18, 2005, after many months of postponements, Arthur Shelton, with his defense attorney, Seymour Swartz, appeared at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice in Detroit, Michigan, before Judge Gregory D. Bill to face charges of murder in the first degree brought by… Continue

When Did I Realise I Was God?

Well, I was praying and I suddenly realised I was talking to myself. Now how's that for bloody convincing?

So I figured I'd hang around on here for a bit - see how it grabs me. Plus, it also has the added bonus of me being able to spiel my thoughts into another non-existent area of cyber-space. So it can't be all bad. Oh and it's also a place to go all "angry atheist" and live up to all those stereotypes - just because I can.

What I'm interested in, is what it's like to be… Continue

And God Said "Let There Be Free Speech" And There Was. And It Was GOOD

Well of course He didn't, but we can't help but wish. But hurray for freedom of speech ehy? Plus point of sites like this I think.

So being new to this cyber domain, I'm still arsing about with settings and all that jazz, but it seems to be a pretty awesome site. Now I'm wondering how come I'd never heard of it before...... well 'tis all good, because I found it in the end anyway.

So blogging on here..... it may be something I'm going to have to get used to. I have a blog… Continue
