I know, I know... Not this again. I'm sure you all are as sick of hearing this lame-ass defense as I am. However,I recently came across a new spin (new to me) on the Hitler debate. Here is what I encountered posted on a Christian forum in response to one of my posts:
In 1998 documents were released by Cornell University from the Nuremberg Trials that revealed Nazi plans to exterminate Christianity at the end of World War II The documents cover the Nuremberg trials of leading…Continue
In response to Jebus-Ween, I propose the Pastafarian communities unite to spread the gospel of the FSM. I however think the Christians are going about it all wrong. We want to lure the children in with candy. Let them associate His Noodleness with treats and goodies, not false promises and disappointment. And of course, attached to each piece of candy is the real treat: A tract that preaches the Pasta in all its marinara glory! Let us not forget the adults! Invite them to join you for some…Continue

Just when I thought I’d heard it all, one of the Christies drops this little gem on me. In discussing the super happy fun times associated with Lot and his daughters, I got this reply:
“Lot wasn't a Xian because Christ wasn't born yet. Therefore, not Xian morality.”
So, it would seem that she is claiming that anything that happened before the birth of Christ cannot be associated with the moral structure of their religion. This one is new to me.
This is what happens when you take your fairytales seriously:

An Italian man reportedly ripped out his own eyeballs during Sunday Mass at a church in Viareggio, near Pisa, northern Italy, according to British news reports.
Aldo Bianchini, 46, a Briton who had lived most of his life in Italy, according to the Daily Mail, reportedly stood up during the Mass at St…Continue
A message from Bobby worth repeating:
It’s not our intention to mock or offend anyone. But I realize people sometimes feel mocked or offended.
It might be fair to say that we’re disrespectful. I would agree that most Pastafarians don’t respect the notion that religion should sit on a pedestal. We don’t think that because an action is explained in the context of religion it is exempt from the scrutiny it otherwise would have been subjected…Continue

The UK is giving Jesus a makeover. Dude is ready to kick-ass and take names. Check it out:
Why Jesus has undergone a macho makeover
An amusing article from the Washington Post:
I’ve been living In Tennessee for a little over two years and up until now have been without religious encounters of the extreme kind. I moved here for grad school, so being surrounded by a bunch of college kids, I guess you could say I led the sheltered life. My experience has been far from what one would imagine when picturing an atheist living in the south.
Now that I’m out of school, I’m beginning to experience more of the local flavor and have to say that I’m starting to…Continue
The latest example of Ray talking out of his ass. Good for a chuckle. WARNING: May cause headache and nausea.
Excerpt from his blog:
Atheists believe that gravity thinks intelligently, makes plans, and then creates…Continue
I read this article this morning and thought it would be worth sharing with the TA community. Besides the atrocities committed, check out the way this guy uses his position as a religious leader to manipulate his victims. It’s just revolting.
Warren Jeffs's trial was nothing if not disturbing: First, Jeffs dismissed his lawyers. Then jurors listened to a religious tirade that masked as an opening statement.
And that's before the trial…Continue
