Homophobic Coworkers Trolling--To Get Me To Come Out

Gah, this is so jacked up. I don't know what to do. I need some advice guys, because I can't loose this job too. I haven't been on here in a while because I've been pretty wrapped up in finding a decent job, but I hope some of the regulars are still around with their usual wit and wisdom. This blog post is going to be a rant, but please give it a look-see.

My new coworkers are obsessed with the sexuality of the guy I just replaced and they've been talking about 'how it totall…

Just A new one.

My first blog.. let's hope we don't get bored?

I have been working alongside people of whom moved to my country from India. When i started my job (my FIRST job at 16) I hoped i could be guided and helped along the way. Don't get me wrong- i was; by the owner. He (who came from KENYA and INDIA) left us in charge when he thought i was able to sustain the shop on my own (after three months) Which meant i was left to work around my manager and three colleagues (one of which no…

"Ordered" to pray?

This morning, as a serving member of my countrys' Navy, I participated in "Ceremonial Divisions",  a formal parade where a visiting dignitary inspects the troops, medals are awarded, speeches are made. At one point during "Divvies", we are ordered to "Remove Headdress" while the School Chaplain recites a prayer.

Anyone have an opinion on what is essentially being ordered to participate in a prayer?  While I direct this question to serving or former members of the Armed…

Public Relations and Science.

I caught this documentary the other day:

Flock of Dodos, about the intelligent design v. evolution debate raging in our school boards. It is pro-evolution, but also paints a melancholy picture of the evolution side, and why we are "Losing" on the public relations front (sort of). Although I want to add that we won in Kansas,…

Pro-choice, condoms and me

So I was heading to my part-time job today and I was running a bit late.

On my way towards the campus bus stop, I saw that Campus Pro-Lifers had their gruesome posters up (you know, the ones with dead fetuses and all that...). Next to them were campus pro-choice- a civilized bunch who were simply dissing the living jesus out of those low-lifers. With Christ and all that crap, the low-life pro-life bunch had put on quite the gong show.

So I dashed by and I quickly yelled "You… Continue

"Under God" Button Plus Bible Means No Job

According to a story from WPTV.com (a Florida TV station's web site), an employee of Home Depot was let go after repeatedly trying to wear a button that said "One nation under God, indivisible."

The story points out that the employee, Trevor Keezer, had worn the button for over a year with no issues, but only was asked to take… Continue

Today. (Profanity warning..as always)

I'm going to start my own business.

Seriously. It's the only way I can create my own little world, taking pieces of what I like about existence and nixing the rest.

I'm not sure what this business will be, but this is what it won't be:

-Filled with customer service people that are neither competent nor aesthetically pleasing. Everything, I mean EVERYTHING must justify it's paycheck. I fully understand that some people are placed simply as decoration, but you better at… Continue

Responsibility, the lost virtue.

OK, so my bosses are horrible parents, and a while back they were talking about the fact that they will be going of of birth control for a few months and see what happens before he gets snipped (two kids too late). But then my one boss was saying that they were going to just see what happens. "If god means for us to have another child, that's okay. If not, that's fine too." Um these idiots were having money troubles already. Yet they want to chance another kid on the mantle of 'gods will'?… Continue
