You can't be mad the little rascal, he's so adorable.
But seriously, what were those Theists thinking?
That wise and highly educated man calculated the date of the rapture, when we will all meet Cheesus Christ.

This kid was from my old high school and he seems genuinely worried, so I was nice to him, but still...
[Welcome to theists in my facebook inbox - sigh]…

Although I have not been on this site very long, I'm beginning to notice a pattern with the theists that post here. Most will come into the conversation and post ridiculous accusations about atheists. We're closed minded. We cannot see god because we don't believe. We claim 100% truth that there is no god. We're ignoring 'facts' that are in our face [i.e: earthquakes are getting stronger-proof of Jesus' return]
To me, it seems most theists are not interested in learning about… Continue

Metaphysics states that false existence claims are impossible. How can some people say that God does exist? Probably they believe that there is something outside the World. Still, they maintain, this being is somehow real. They simply think about some unnatural class and say something not meaningful.

I made a small booklet to educate theists about atheism. Feel free to use it.
[Here is the Revised Version! - please use this instead]

Who Told You That You Are A Sinner?
Your church? But wait, don't fret! There's a magic cure, and your church
just happens to have it! (Of course some might suggest that your church
has merely cut you in order to sell you a band-aid...)
Did Adam And Eve Sin?
They disobeyed God by eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (right and wrong). So, yes...Right?
Just one problem. How could Adam and Eve have been expected… Continue

The human brain is a fantastic piece of hardware that can run countless calculations at once and analyze both short and long term situations and consequences. An interesting theory was posed in my elective philosophy class (before winter break) about the very nature on understanding death. My professor told us that it is impossible for the human mind to mentally comprehend "death" because death itself is the absence of consciousness, the absence of calculated thought processes that form what we… Continue

So after my very interesting Debate with a friend of mines relative i somewhat analyzed the situation i was in and figured out a decent way to debate without actually discouraging them to open their minds a bit.
Typical Theists are thought to keep a straight mind towards their beliefs and in most cases ignore or falsely debunk outside information. This is their defense. When they start throwing pascal's wager or the challenge of, or anything similar to, "You haven't read the bible so… Continue

There are few things that can get under my skin like the education system in America. We do not do enough to teach our kids about the real wonders in the world through logical inspection and we fail miserably to teach them to respect or understand history. Schools that respect the secular requirements of our government fail to impart the importance of these subjects. What education are we denying children when they are educated by a school district that makes “belief in god” a goal in their… Continue

Lately, the active atheist community on Facebook has found their Facebook pages being disabled for abuse when theists, offended by our point of view, report us as being abusive. Numerous atheists on Facebook have been disabled or have had warnings that they will be disabled. Many emails and messages have been exchanged between non-theists about this issue. Many, if not most atheists are reinstated. Some have even been issued apologies.
I am only the latest in a long line of atheists… Continue

I'm reading a library book from my school called "On Humanism." - By: Richard Norman. Yep... that's the type of atheist I am... I'm a secular humanist. I'm posting here a passage from the book based on a lecture by Bertrand Russell to a meeting if the National Secular Society in 1927. I found this passage SO empowering and such that I have made it my "mission statement" per say for myself. When I lost my faith, I suddenly felt alone and VERY afraid. I… Continue
