Iran Calls Wall Street Protests 'American Spring'

Do you see? This is why I refer to the protesters as a bunch of anarchist/pseudo-socialist/extreme leftists mixed with right-wing isolationist naive individuals which have now been taken over by labor unions and other anti-American left-leaning groups such as MoveOn.org. They are allowing such illegitimate regimes such as the Islamic Republic to mock our nation in addition to compare their "grievances" to the Arab Spring in…

Centrist Perspective: Ideals and Merit

The 10th anniversary of 9/11 has come and gone. Leftist liberals everywhere all seemed determined to make the worst possible interpretations of the U.S. response since that historic day. It was a pathetic display. It's rhetoric like that which has led to my becoming an Independent. I no longer identify with Democrats. I feel pushed to the center and now see myself as a moderate centrist. I'm simply appalled at the extremes of the left, just as I am at the extremes of the right.

When…

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper says "Islamicism biggest threat to Canada" & Tony Blair says "Iran is our Real Enemy"

It is refreshing to see that our northern border ally has too come to see the true threat facing humanity in the 21st century. It is also refreshing to see the visionary and bold former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom taking a clear stance against the illegal regime of the Islamic Republic - especially since he has strong influence with the Quartet - I am feeling more and more confident that the international community will soon stand more firmly with the Syrian people…

Traitors

About once a month, my wife and I spend the Sabbath at her family's  home.

We're both atheists while they're very religious - settlers living  in the west bank town of Efrat near Bethlehem. Even so, for seven years  we've managed to put aside politics and religion, and get along for…

Religious Responsibility

This is an Op-Ed that I wrote for OpEdnews.com. Monicks has been asking me to post it here, so I hope you all enjoy it...

Have you ever read your terms of use for Facebook? How about Google? If you did, there would be some phrases, if you can decipher them in the jargon, which you may find objectionable. However, they are tools for the modern world, and you would probably continue to utilize them anyway, knowing full well that they are, using… Continue

The Reality of Christian Terrorism

For years now whenever I am in a debate with Christians and the topic reaches over into my anti-theistic view I constantly get answers along the lines of, "The Gospel teaches salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. There is no meriting salvation or earning righteousness. Everything in a Christian's life is gifted and there is no rational way to feel superior to others with a Christian belief." and "I don't see that really happening in the Christian world, but why should it… Continue

Christian Terrorism in Ohio

The downtown Cincinnati billboard reading "Don’t Believe In God? You are not alone" is moving locations. The billboard is run by Lamar Advertising, but this particular billboard is on private property leased by Lamar. Apparently the landowner has "received multiple, significant threats" either to property, person, or both.

In my opinion, even with the vagueness of the statement, these are clearly threats of terrorism. Who else in an area like that, would threaten a message… Continue

Modern Islam and the Quran: Living like Muhammad

The following is from a discussion, elsewhere, about Islam. Johnny, is confusing Muslims with Islam and is concerned about hatred in the world. My response clarifies my position about as well as I've ever clarified it, so I'm posting the exchange here in my blog.

@ Atheist Exile

First, there is a rational justification for not hating anyone. One day I think we can eliminate hate if we don't blow up the earth first.

Second, I… Continue

Morality, Religion and Terrorism

Morality, Religion and Terrorism

Ex-President George W. Bush was wrong when he said the terrorists have hijacked Islam. In fact, it is Islam that has hijacked the terrorists. Bush and those who agree with him insist that the terrorists aren’t “true” Muslims; that violence in the name of Allah is counter to the Quran and Islam.

Examine that sentiment closely: compare it to what the Quran actually says. The Quran does have a paltry few verses…
