Perhaps we needed it, perhaps we could have managed without it, but since the discovery of oil our economy has relied on it. Our society has been (literally) fuel by oil. It has done wonders for our world and the impact of oil cannot be disputed. As great of a use as oil has been in our short history, it has now become detrimental to use it. These days it is destroying our world. Sure, we once relied on this fossil fuel, but now it's time to start using an alternative energy…

You've heard me rant about how clearly useless prayer is. This week CNN had an article about an Alabama church that used to hold summer services on the beach but was displaced by cleanup efforts.

After a long morning of yard and house work, I decided to treat myself to lunch. Adjacent from the booth I was sitting in was a group of four elderly people. Every now and again I would catch bits an pieces of their conversation; diet, keeping active, etc. Normal innocent conversation.
