A very early memory of mine was the United States' Bicentennial, 1976. I remember feeling so good about this country. A few years later, another prominent memory was created - the Iranian Hostage Crisis.
I will not make a case for the US' installation of the Shah as being just. I will not make a case against Iranians wanting to pursue their own destiny with less Western influence. I will however ask you to consider and also consciously identify the concern that religious…Continue

Have been compiling the list of ideas to make the world a better place. Here are some of them
I haven't been here in a while... I was chastised for posting in the incorrect spot, and I felt rebellious against the rules and ran away for a bit. I can be a child (and I don't care). Plus, I was very busy graduating from nursing school, starting my job as a RN and also starting my nursing bachelor's program. I also have heathens to raise and a husband to be a wife to.
I love being a nurse. I love my job, I love my coworkers, I love my paycheck. I'm a pretty happy camper…Continue

I ran into an old neighbor today who I had not spoken to in a very long time. She belongs to an infamous church in my community which holds a fall festival to give children a place to go on halloween. They think it celebrates satan. Anyway, during this conversation, my neighbor informs me…Continue
I thought this might be a good place for my last blog entry from http://www.commonground.net. So, here are some of my thoughts on faith and reason.
Another Common Ground blogger, Ian Kluge, directed our attention to the new atheists position that there is an inherent and irreconcilable conflict between faith and reason.
Christopher Hitchens sums up their position this way: “All attempts to reconcile faith…Continue
