Shortly after Barack Obama was elected, a bizarre phenomenon came, seemingly out of nowhere. Suddenly the news was full of stories and images of a group of angry protesters calling themselves "The Tea Party." Although they claimed to be "populist" and "non-partisan" it should be obvious to anyone who has been following their political positions and the candidates they choose (all hard-right republicans) that they aren't "progressive" nor "populist"; and they are especially not…Continue
Liberal Christians, in my honest opinion, are just goosestepping agnosticism and ultimately, their true atheistic feelings and skepticism. A liberal Christian is like an atheist apologist. Too afraid to have unpopular opinions and too weak to stand up for them.
Recently a friend and I were discussing an episode of "The Cleveland Show", where a character is asked whether or not he is an atheist. The animated thirteen year old character said that he prefers not to use the…

When I was a child, I was told that I could be anything I wanted when I grew up.
Most of us were, but my family tried to ensure that I was raised in an environment where I knew it in essence...where it wasn't just words.
My grandparents always made sure that I had the opportunity to do martial arts, ballet, theater and soccer. When at the age of 12 or so I decided I wanted to play hockey, too. They encouraged me.
After their death, I lived with an aunt and uncle. They…Continue
(But I'm thinking of starting a brand name. :)
I participate in more than a few news sites. In fact, my cousin owns one of my favorites (No, I'm not telling which one.)
I stay as publicly active on TA as possible.
I vote in EVERY government election.
We have come a long way.
We are quite possibly living in one of the most significant times in modern…Continue
