What is light without dark? God and Job

Job 19:1 to 42:10

19:1 Both God and Satan remained quiet while Job and his three friends continued debating the system of justice God had provided for the Universe. Job said, "Give me a break, I'm innocent. I've begged God to hear my story but he's shut me out. He has unfairly counted me among his enemies. He has…

Job 8:1 to 18:1

8:1 After Job's extensive tirade about the unjust nature of humanity's role in the battle between cosmic factions of good and evil, his number two friend had finally heard enough and entered the fray. He said "How long can you go on and on about what a good guy you are? If…

The Game

A Universe unevenly divided by truth and lies. Testing Job

Job 1:1 to 6:4

1:1 Once upon a time there was a rich man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. He was indeed one righteous dude. He was very afraid of the Lord, which is wise, and also he hated evil. So that was essentially Job’s stand on the subject of human morality, fear and hate. He had a…

Praying for a Job

I've been seeing this girl for almost two years now. She's a sweet girl and I dig her a lot but she's also a Mormon. Towards the beginning of our relationship I didn't consider myself an Atheist, but simply claimed not to be spiritual. I haven't really believed in god in a long time, I was certain that it was pure mumbo jumbo since I was 13. In fact the only reason I never labeled myself Atheist was because of the negative connection that I had developed with the Atheist movement.

I… Continue

WTF!!!!! Crazy Ass Christian Man!

On my way home from work I passed a real wacko. I'm walking down the street from the bus to my apartment minding my own business and this man yells at me "Jesus saves the day." WTF!!! I know there's many Christians in my neighborhood but most have some sense. They don't go around yelling about it at the top of their lungs. Especially at total strangers. Not a very wise thing to do. It peeved me off when he did so. But I walked on. He does that crap to the wrong person he might get someone not… Continue
