I Don't Mean to Offend, I Am Smart But...Help Me Out

I would like to post a conversation I just had on Google+. I understand how my statements may sound offensive but I see things as I see it. My opinion is not unheard of but I am not saying it is fact. However, my issue really isnt about what I said it is about the response it received from a guy who didn't like what I said but posted his opinions. I don't understand them and I was wondering if someone could explain what he means by his definition of consciousness and "objective…

Dear Parents thinking of Contacting an Exorcist...

Most of the time when I watch "real haunting" shows, I do so because either 1. someone else turned it on and I'm too lazy to leave the room or procrastinating or 2. I go looking for logical fallacies and things to laugh at.

And what if I prayed? This is what came out

(ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED IN SU NOMBRE EN VANO)

As an atheist I don't pray. To me it's no different from talking to the air, or to the ceiling if I'm laying on my bed. One of them is a pastor, a really nice guy who for me is kind of hard to see as the…

Religion and your mental health.

Picture youself in bed, waiting to fall asleep, when suddenly you start seeing millions of stars falling right in front of you. You see a radiant light, one brighter than the rest, mingling with beautiful colours. You feel ecstatic. Everything appears to be shimmering and boiling and then, as suddenly as it came, it dissipates. Throughout all of this, you are fully awake. How would you react?

How about if you were sitting in a room with a group of people and the whole room became… Continue

Learn to recognize the illness

Several years ago there was a campaign to teach people that depression was an Illness, a disease, caused by physical factors and not just lack of willpower. Their slogan was: "recognize the illness". Maybe that should be the slogan for dealing with the conservative insanity that is rampant now. These people are obviously paranoid. Many are delusional, they are afraid of the boogie monster. Liberals are commie fascists (though the two are groups are diametrically opposed), intent on taking their… Continue
