Why Christians are hypocrites when it comes to censorship laws and a couple of other notes: (A blogpost from my website)

We are all aware of the bills being currently passed nationally such as ACTA or PIPA, or most notably the recent demise of SOPA, it is well noted in the press about how everyone of different creeds and backgrounds aligned with each other to fight the good fight, which of course it is, because why would we want to stop our freedom to say and do what we want?

Though recently one thing popped into my head the other day while surfing the net and researching…

Apology Of A Poseur

(The following was inspired by Deepak Chopra's quackery-laden and hypocritically self-serving review of Richard Dawkins' book, The Magic of Reality. Enjoy).

Love (and hate) In An Elevator

I know, I know. We’re all sick to death of the story of Elevator Guy (I refuse to call it ElevatorGate, come on people, that hasn’t been funny since CrackerGate). That is to say we’re so sick of it that we feel compelled to read every blog and watch every video we find on the topic and then pontificate on the subject at length in the comments section in the most smug, sarcastic and polarising manner possible. That goes for people on…

The WAR on CHRISTmas!

I'm so sick of hearing about "the war on christmas" and seeing any

non-christian (or anyone willing to stand up for any non-christian)

being vilified in the news. Tonight there was a segment on one of my local news affiliates (WTAE Pittsburgh) about a nativity scene being moved from in front of the borough building in a local town after one woman (bravely) wrote in and asked that it be moved. It was moved a whole 20 yards from it's original… Continue

Not a True Christian

I absolutely despise this phrase: "They aren't True Christians." People just love bandying it about left, right and center as it suits them and it has become a rather abusive, repetitive term, which both camouflages hypocrisy and vindictiveness as well as serves as an automatic conversation stopper and verbal passing-of-the-proverbial-buck. It is a dangerous and unintellectual way out of an argumentative corner.

The emotional connotations of this term involve the speaker immediately… Continue

Why All Carbon-Based Bipeds Should Be Anti-Theistic Atheists

I encourage you all to watch the video on this website. It is a poem with pictures and it is Not For Sensitive Viewers.
The poem is called Sharia Law. Atheist Media
I do not understand how any woman on the face of the planet can call herself religious with the knowledge that these atrocities are being committed to women in the name of…

The Reality of Christian Terrorism

For years now whenever I am in a debate with Christians and the topic reaches over into my anti-theistic view I constantly get answers along the lines of, "The Gospel teaches salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. There is no meriting salvation or earning righteousness. Everything in a Christian's life is gifted and there is no rational way to feel superior to others with a Christian belief." and "I don't see that really happening in the Christian world, but why should it… Continue

Ray McCauley

I am going to forcefully limit myself to a single post about Ray McCauley unless he does something this hypocritical or annoying again, otherwise I could continue ranting eternally.

Ray McCauley, popular South African televangelist, founder and leader of a 40 000 strong congregation and the Rhema Bible Church, which even has its own channel, is getting divorced for the second time.

Times… Continue

A Simple Solution to World Hunger - Stephanie Foran

“Sell the Vatican, feed the world” (Silverman, 2009). It’s a saying that has recently started circulating the Internet. Sarah Silverman, a popular comedian, made a video and posted it to the popular video-sharing website YouTube, and her movement quickly caught on. Initially coined for… Continue

Prayer Spam: How to Do Nothing and Still Think You're Helping

Anyone who has spent more than a few seconds on my site knows where I stand on religion. My anti-theist stance is quite clearly proclaimed everywhere here, from the scarlet A and Random Evil Scripture block to the various books I've read, even those of faith have no trouble figuring out my views.

I have my email address easily accessible in the footer, available for anyone to contact me if desired, and I do… Continue

When someone leaves Christianity, why are other Christians so quick to blame them or the church?

I recently had a discussion with a Christian via YouTube PMs, and while she was very nice, she had one little flaw. She had to blame me/my family/the church for my leaving Christianity. She insinuated that our entire doctrine was faulty, that I had been forced into Christianity, and that I had never felt Jesus or God in my life. She said that she believed that I was a "false convert… Continue

And you accuse ME of having no morals?

Something came up today during lunch while I was talking with a Satanist friend of mine.

It's common for religious people to claim that atheists have no morals as we have no god to derive them from and have no god to fear in the deviation from our morals. But then if you ask them what they would do if god wasn't there to punish them, there are times when they admit that they would act without caring about others or about the consequences of their actions.

So really, who… Continue

The Vatican Is Hard At Work Proving Their Hypocrisy

You gotta love the Vatican. All in one weekend they've lifted the excommunication of a bishop that denies the Holocaust ever happened (http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/01/26/pope.holocaust.denial/index.html) and slammed President Barack Obama for lifting the ban on U.S. funding for foreign family planning groups because some of those groups support abortion (http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1873904,00.html).

So what's the message here? Killing babies is evil - unless… Continue
