Yesterday the Indiana governor signed the bill passed by their legislature that allows businesses the right to deny service to the homeosexual segment of their state. The so-called valid reason for the law is respecting religious belief. Our country continues to operate like it is still in the Dark Ages. There is certainly going to be lawsuits and probably loss of revenue when organizations decide to hold such things as conventions elsewhere.
This story has been all over the online tabloids in seems. There is a bakery in Northern Ireland who have point black refused to bake a cake for an LGBT rights organisation advocating for marriage equality. The indended cake would have had a picture of Bert and Earnie from Sesemy Street with the slogan…Continue
I didn't join this site to take other people's words out of my mouth.
I attempted to emphasize the importance of love amid the current trend of legalized gay marriage. I'm not anonymous, so anyone can go to Facebook to verify my support of my gay friends' new marriage intentions.
Marriage is a much older religious institution than a governmental one, and marriage is younger than love. Tell me ThinkAtheist, does law matter more than love?
I'm not sure you are all aware of this, but the UK recently legalised same sex marriage and good for them.
But of course the religious organisations are usually the main groups that always have an objection to equal marriage rights. Except this time they are turning on one other own. The first Church of England priest has married his same sex partner and suffice…Continue
So we have yet again some more hypocrisy and arrogance from the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church are apparently selling a mansion previously owned by a pedophile. But it seems that the Catholic church is still far too lacking in humbleness, still too arrogant, still to self righteous and still to hypocritical to be willing to seek the property of a gay couple.
Oh they have no problem protecting…Continue
Its been a while since I've posted anything in my blog on Think Atheist. But I just received this terrible news from All Out by email on my iPhone. I simply had to post something to get this off my chest.
I have to say I am very surprised by this. I thought India was coming to a revolutionary point of moving forward for human equality. But I…

So North Carolina decided that somehow it was a good idea to vote on a civil rights issue seeing how it all worked out so well the first time. This time it wasn’t some racist ideas but it was close enough. It was about gay people having the gall to demand fair treatment under law and be afforded a legal status that is for some reason given only to heterosexual couples. They want to get married.
I’m sorry but there’s this thing called Article 6 of the United States Constitution and…
Well, I was trying to be nice and reason with them, but they didn't seem to want to...weird...lol
Anyways, here it is:
I'll be updating as it goes on…Continue

I just wanted to share this with everyone. The student involved in this incident is an old friend of mine, from elementary school. I haven't seen him in 3 years, but he is still very dear to me. I have personal experience with the vice principal who is the anti-gay bigot in this, Mr. Abell. He is not a good person or vice principal, I truly dislike him. You should also take the time to read some of the comments, it amazes me that some people are defending the VP for disqualifying him because…Continue

1 Cor 5:10-13... I think I said it last time, but I'll say it again. Atheists need to know this passage. It severely restricts Christians from all sorts of undesirable behavior.
It's a common theme among those with faith. They say something that just makes you go 'Wait...what?'. I'm sure most of you have seen the video in these pictures. (if not, look it up, it's fantastic). My friend posted it on FB and I watched it and I noticed that a friend of hers had commented below. I responded in kind. It's a bit to read, but it was a civil conversation, if not a bit strained on my end.
I was scanning the inter-webs and came across this article in The Washington Post's Faith section (Yes, I read the faith section quite often): Pope Seeks Protestant Allies to Combat…
Earlier today, I discussed the topic of LGBT individuals turning to religion for all the wrong reasons. I expressed how such behavior is absurd and unjustified, and explained how it actually hurts the gay fights for equal rights!
As a gay and atheist person, I would like to ask you for opinion.
The full article:
Thousands of conservative Christian rallied in NC for a ban of gay marriage.
Carrying Christian and American flags, over 3500 Christians gathered in the streets of the capitol of NC. Why? So they could show the world just how many ignorant fools there are in the state of North Carolina.

I fear for our progress as Americans. Even though we believe that once a civil right's victory has been accomplished we will never look back, the sad truth of it is that countries can devolve.
Look at Iran. True, it was never exactly a shinning beacon of hope and equality for anyone, but before their revolution, there were a lot more clits around.
I'm not even kidding.
Sexual mutilation INCREASED after the people "got their voice." So did the average beard length, the…Continue
