Yesterday the Indiana governor signed the bill passed by their legislature that allows businesses the right to deny service to the homeosexual segment of their state. The so-called valid reason for the law is respecting religious belief. Our country continues to operate like it is still in the Dark Ages. There is certainly going to be lawsuits and probably loss of revenue when organizations decide to hold such things as conventions elsewhere.
I'm not sure you are all aware of this, but the UK recently legalised same sex marriage and good for them.
But of course the religious organisations are usually the main groups that always have an objection to equal marriage rights. Except this time they are turning on one other own. The first Church of England priest has married his same sex partner and suffice…Continue
A large majority of atheists I know in the US refuse to refer to themselves as atheist, only because of the social stigma attached to the word and I feel this is a shame; it's a valid point, but still a shame.

Look at Iran. True, it was never exactly a shinning beacon of hope and equality for anyone, but before their revolution, there were a lot more clits around.
I'm not even kidding.
Sexual mutilation INCREASED after the people "got their voice." So did the average beard length, the…Continue
The irony is that people talk about 'coming out as an atheist' like they do with homosexuals admitting their nature to their parents and friends. It's like there is some great problem with these things. I cannot understand why people…Continue
