Dark and unordinary films II: now with animation!

In my first list I was avoiding films labeled as horrors, but this time I will put such films only because I consider that they have a deeper meaning. Some of this films only have some dark scenes but are not overall dark. And also I consider existential horror to be very dark.

Dark and unordinary films

I've watched a lot of films and I've noticed that there are sometimes film that you just can't put your finger on them, all you can say is that they are dark in atmosphere, unordinary, unhollywoodlike...

last week i linked to the first news trickling out about a new paper by a NASA astrobiologist that purported to show that a meteorite contained fossilized bacteria. well, once people took a good look at the paper and its findings it became clear that the findings were absurd. lots of commentary on this one.
