I wanted to contribute my current day-to-day experience which shares much in common with those posting and agreeing that "They Can't Live On This Planet Anymore!" and to offer what helps me through it every day.
When I'm not developing lectures and multimedia pieces for Innerspace Labs, (please see my profile for fun bits about that!), I pay the rent working as a supervisor in a print center.
It is, indeed a struggle, as my workplace is made up of proudly fundamentalist… Continue

It is certainly true that there are numerous inconsistencies in all religious belief systems. As to Christianity and Catholicism specifically there seems to be a high incidence of pedophilia. Members of the Catholic clergy, especially priests, seem to have a high propensity to commit this crime. Living a celibate existence is no excuse to commit these atrocities. But what really blows my hair back is that these pathetic individuals who fondle and abuse children and young men do so with the… Continue

So it was census night last night in Ireland and I happily ticked 'No Religion' on my form.
I just saw on Twitter someone compiled a picture of a few tweets they saw where the decision was taken from people. If this person saw this amount just from friends/people he follows, just imagine the actual figure countrywide.

Of all these nations God our Lord gave charge to one man, called St. Peter, that he should be Lord and Superior of all the men in the world, that all should obey him, and that he should be the head of the whole human race, wherever men should live, and under whatever law, sect, or belief they should be; and he gave him the world for his kingdom and jurisdiction.
And he commanded him to place his seat in Rome, as the spot most fitting… Continue

The day the Church dies there will be no sounds of joy among the godless: Continue
No horns blown or parades thrown,
Rejoicing in the streets or marching to the beat,
No angels from Heaven to smite us down,
No Devil to laugh at our descent.
The end of the world will still belong to the sun,
When the Church takes its final breath
On a day no different than today
In a world with problems unfit for gods.
Where a frock is suitable only for Halloween;
A relic of a…

From Catholic News Service
Pope Benedict spent May 2 by visiting Turin, Italy, where he celebrated an outdoor mass and knelt in silent prayer before the Shroud of Turin
, which many Catholics still believe to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ despite mountains of evidence to the contrary
After spending time… Continue

What are your thoughts on what is the worst religion around? In my opinion it is the Catholic church. From a biblical perspective they got it all wrong. But far worse then that they have been the most violent over the years, i.e. the crusades(the pope actually supported the killings of "infidels" the same as the Muslims do today), the killings of millions over the centuries through various inquisitions, Hitler was a Catholic, they have used confession as a form of blackmail for political… Continue

I forget what inspired me to look up this in the first place, but I have said in the past that if Catholics were not considered christians then guess what the biggest religion is? Catholicism!!! Continue

I was looking around the great big Internet and was refreshed and pleased when I found Think Atheist. You guys really seem to be making a statement, and it's well appreciated, I'm sure.
I plan to update this blog weekly, if possible, and I hope everyone will visit and comment.
