Christians are up in arms about music video showing church burnings, but they don't understand its meaning

A music video posted on the homepage of the Rock Beyond Belief Festival, that's being held for atheist servicemen and women in March at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, has roused the ire of several Christian blogs and commentators.

Filmed for the song "Hysteria" by rock band Aiden, the video (posted below), begins with several shots of church and synagogue burnings. Indeed, the song itself uses what appears to be lyrics…

My view of the Koran burnings.

I've been thinking a lot about this whole burning the Koran business. So much that I woke up less than an hour ago thinking about it to the point where I think I should get it all out on 'paper'. I've had some Atheist friends talk about this on facebook and I have to admit, I've been less then honest when they've brought it up about my real standpoint. Koran Burning

After watching a report on the crazy koran burning pastor i am forced to ask this question. Why is nobody talking about the FACT that the burning of a koran is no different than the burning of a comic book or the burning of a piece of wood. There might be a few more BTU's generated from a koran but all in all no adverse affects. It sickens me that these people on TV that report the news fail to include any dialog on this. As Atheists, we believe that any religion is wrong.

That being said, we live in communities where believers of many religions have to coexist along side with us. They are our mothers, our fathers, sisters brothers, friends and lovers.
