Woe to the World

Jambi: 'The wish is granted. Long live Jambi.'                 Pee-wee: 'Thanks Jambi!' Prophesy of Doom

Isaiah 1:1 to 66:1

1:1 The hallucinations of Isaiah, the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem back in the days of Uzziah and a bunch of other kings.

1:2 Ok listen up. God says he has taken good care of you up until now but you are all a bunch…

Where the hell are we all headed??

I'm not a doom and gloom type. I generally see the glass as half full. But I must confess, as I let my mind connect the dots of the economy, the ecology, the downward IQ of society as a whole, at least American society, I feel a dispair I have never experienced.  Perhaps it's some sort of midlife crisis, but I don't think so.  I see our leaders going back and forth with one another, each blaming the other, and NOBODY offering any real plan to get us on track for the future.  America has…

Post-Apocalyptic Silliness

Last night I went to a goth club which had a sub theme of Apocalyptic (which includes post-apocalyptic and other sub-sub-themes).  My ridiculous costume involved armor, car parts, electroluminescent wire, a mouse pad, handcuffs, and a plastic wild west revolver.  I walked through the… Continue

Mel Hunter’s Lonely Robot

From my blog:

During my adventures through the mysterious evo-devo circus freakshow known as childhood, I found myself encountering a lot of science fiction stories and art from 1950s-1970s. Old issues of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction that I recovered from the dump were just as interesting to my larval mind as pornography.

The one cover that I…
