Best of my Tumblr Part 6- The Liberty Amendment and its horrifying implications

Liberty Amendment

Section 1. The Government of the United States shall not engage in any business, professional, commercial, financial, or industrial enterprise except as specified in the Constitution.

No more: Welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, EPA, NASA Non-Military Research Branch (military applications still okay), and a whole host of other things. Basically: Bye-Bye non-violent or regulatory citizen protections. Probably not his INTENT but that’s what it…

I fear for our progress as Americans.

I fear for our progress as Americans. Even though we believe that once a civil right's victory has been accomplished we will never look back, the sad truth of it is that countries can devolve.

Look at Iran. True, it was never exactly a shinning beacon of hope and equality for anyone, but before their revolution, there were a lot more clits around.

I'm not even kidding.

Sexual mutilation INCREASED after the people "got their voice." So did the average beard length, the…

Losing my Faith in Humanity (or: A Sanity-Preserving Rant)

This TSA bullshit is just the latest in a long line of attacks on our civil liberties, but it's really pissing me off. I wonder what it will take to finally push a thorough backlash against all of our stupid policies (formal and informal)? Seatbelt laws, helmet laws, mandatory insurance, gay military service bans, gay marriage bans, gay adoption bans, anti-prostitution laws, anti-gambling laws, the war on crime, the war on drugs, the war on terror, unfounded and illegal undeclared wars, corrupt… Continue

God - Class of 2010...

OK, so I was at my sister-in-law's high school (public) graduation the other day and was disappointed to see God brought into the mix. So I wrote the principal, vice-principal, superintendent and local newspaper the following message:

Good day,

I was in attendance at the graduation ceremony at CASHS to witness my… Continue

Lake Local School District in Ohio Makes Belief in God a Goal

There are few things that can get under my skin like the education system in America. We do not do enough to teach our kids about the real wonders in the world through logical inspection and we fail miserably to teach them to respect or understand history. Schools that respect the secular requirements of our government fail to impart the importance of these subjects. What education are we denying children when they are educated by a school district that makes “belief in god” a goal in their… Continue
