Seemingly All Alone and On My Own (or A Heartfelt Lament)

I am surrounded by family, but feel like I'm all alone anyway. With the exception of my dad and myself, none of the rest of my family votes. They are not politically active at all. They support no causes, they do not stand up for their rights. I'm new here, I'd like to ramble some and say a hello.

So, as I mentioned, I am new to this site. I haven't read any of the other blog posts, so forgive me if I am breaking some majestic Atheist blog rule.
