The beauty of science

Prior to science, superstition conquered. Aristotle believed that objects in motion slowed because they simply became "tired." God was reason for all, and all was reason for God.

Due to brilliant minds we have emerged from these opaque ages of knowledge. Newton enlightened us with mathematical logic in the 17th century. He also enlightened us with knowledge of optics,…

Why do they hate mormons?

So here's my little story.

The other day my buddy wants to take me to lunch at a local Mexican restaurant.  So I show up a little early, sit down, and order a Corona.  As I'm munching on some chips and salsa, I overhear the daughter of a couple at the next table say "I don't understand why the kids at school hate Mormons so much."

After that they were talking fairly hushed so I couldn't hear much after that.  I wanted to say, "Well they probably hate atheists more and why do…

All I Have to do Is Dream

Now some people will say that I'm blowing the story by telling you up front that its a dream.

Lets get something straight right now. I hate stories that end with “And it was all a dream.” I stopped watching the TV show “Dallas” for that very reason.

I will also point out that i live in the state of Utah, in the USA, and as such, I know a lot of Mormons, more correctly know as Latter Day Saints, or LDS.

LDS is a mystery to many people outside the church. I myself… Continue

In Need of Mormon Education

Mormonism is a little Mystical. Like most religions there are so many lies and half truths, I don't know what to believe. I think that we should talk about it. We have former Mormon's here, so why not ask the questions and you guys can help us understand what you were taught. I'm going to post a series of questions. I encourage others to ask more. For the Ex-Mormons or those whom just know, answer the question only if you know please. Most of my questions come from a cartoon from YouTube, or… Continue

All about Mormons

For those of you who saw the South Park episode All About Mormons, you know how interesting the Mormon church can be. I’ve also read Jon Krakauer’s non-fiction book about extreme Mormonism, Under the Banner of Heaven, and more recently, been watching the HBO series Big Love. That show is so great. It’s about a closet polygamist — he’s not a Mormon extremist, just a quote-unquote regular Mormon who happens to have three wives.

So naturally I’m more interested in Mormons, or in the… Continue
