My cat, spooky, has gone missing. He's been gone for 5 days now, and while I am quite worried he may have been hurt, or worse, killed or caught by the cat-catcher, I still hold hope that he's about, and that he will return soon. He's done this before, but never for so many days, and I suspect he may have another home out there somewhere. Damn cats and their curiosity! It never comes to any good! Whenever he goes missing, I can't help but think of the saying "Curiosity killed the…Continue

Some people like to make the claim that Islam is a “peaceful” religion, that the acts committed by a few radicals do not represent the religion in any way. In a claim to support their rhetoric, they give examples of a few isolated cases in which Christians have used their religion in the name of “god”. Such examples include Timothy McVeigh in the Oklahoma City Bombing, and Christian…Continue
A young girl inside of Iran (this happened recently but I do not have exact date) was arrested for "bad hijab" or headscarf and was forced into the car and kicked by the cop as a sign of disrespect that she is "trash" in their minds. We can only hope that this poor sister was also not raped and we can only imagine worse...the brutal Islamic Republic of Terror…Continue
Not From Their Gods, Though. From Religion, Itself...
Mainstream Christianity goes to great lengths to separate itself from its Abrahamic cousin, Islam. However, the commonalities between the two faiths are very apparent to most of us who live free from the shackles of religious…Continue
I have made my views known on facebook and have regular discussions with others that are willing to engage whether they are my friends and people I know, and I have lost a couple of "friends" on there but that does not deter me one bit...it is vital to get the message across....so I come up checking my email earlier and I get this facebook notification of a comment from one of my discussions:

For the past decade, Ayaan Hirsi Ali has stood at the forefront of new thought in the philosophy of Islam and its explanation, and Europeans have plenty to learn from her brave commitment to Enlightenment values – in the face of all that extremism.

Dear Sons and Daughters of Ishmael:
As a former Muslim you have certainly read the Koran, and quite probably learned to memorize it in childhood.
So I have some questions:
1. According to the Koran it is blasphemy to call God “Father” or “Abba”?
2. Does the prophet Mohammad recognize God as Father?
3. What about the Holy Spirit? Is the Holy Spirit present in the Koran?…

It has been a really bad experience of drug-like intoxication with American religious fantasies which transmitted to other areas of knowledge transformed my life in an erratic and painful trip through the darkness of other people's hallucinations. But I have this one marvelous good which preserves me: I am not ashamed to learn history and I am very grateful to the ones who created web-sites like…

Islam is instinctual, there is a hadith that says a newborn is born instinctually, unless his parents raise him as a jew, christian or a majoosi(it's an arabic word for people who worship fire).
So if you let a baby grow up with no teaching of any religion, he/she will become a muslim eventually.
But then when I was just 5-7 years old & I was told that god(allah) created everything, why did the first thing that came to my mind was "who created god?" ? Wasn't…Continue
"God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean…Continue
