Mankind believes in God because most of mankind cannot help themselves to not believe. The majority of Mankind appears to need simple answers when something is unexplainable (how we got here), or horribly indifferent.

It’s time for me to renew my license plates. Luckily, I received a card in the mail with a PIN number, License Plate Number, and some other information I would need to renew them online. When I've noted that I'm an Atheist, or Non-Believer to a theist, the reaction is generally incredulous. "How can you not believe in God?" is a common response. I imagine this is typical for most. No, seriously! I was dead, just for a few minutes, but dead nonetheless. Long story short, on Sept. 25th an allergic reaction to a supposedly innocuous pill, caused my throat to close, shutting off my breathing and within minutes I was dead, literally.

A reporter might include in a sentence: "Scientists believe that..." or "It is the belief of historians..."



Someone giving a lecture might say: "It is believed by people in the field..." or "We currently believe that..."
