I Like Christmas
I was sitting in my office today. I was alone as almost everyone else has taken off for the holiday. I had Pandora on Christmas music. I listen to a lot of Baroque, Renaissance, medieval, celtic and new age music anyhow and that was the flavor of my Christmas music. I also had Trans-Sibrian Railway and Manheim Steamroller. I really enjoyed it.
I like Church. I don't mean the religion. Or The Church.
I like the Christmas Service Happy Music…

Willful ignorance
I love Christmas time. The general kindness from people around me makes me feel all warm and fussy.
I'm the only atheist in my family, but it really hasn't bothered me, since they've never seemed fundamental or intrusive in any way. I announced my atheism about a year ago, and all I got was a "why", which I answered as well as I could, and then an "ok", and that was pretty much it. I've always lived a pretty secular life, so my lifestyle didn't change much, but my way of looking at…

I once read in a Christian pamphlet that you can trust that the bible is the inspired word of god because there has been many prophicies of the bible that has been fulfilled.
What of these then?
Genesis 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.
Here God tells Isaac that his descendents (Hebrews) will be as numerous as…

This is the nativity scene that's at the #Tcsgrv manor. Despite protests... it is staying.
Actually, I have long ago grown tired of the offensive, unimaginative, and repetitious 'nativity scenes' that pollute both public and private lands.
Thus, I have hastily drafted my own version to counter the mediocre versions.
Enjoy.

The Greek Gods
Disclaimer: The only reason this has been posted as blog is because the 'video' section allows to upload only one video and this is a complete series. So if any of the other mods finds a way to move this to the videos section as a whole, please, be my guest.
"The Greek Gods" tells of the history and mythology surrounding the deities of ancient Greece.
Exposing the devoutly religious beliefs of pagan cultures and how greatly they parallel the Abrahamic traditions of…

Stupid But also Funny: Eclipse=Allah is furious!
Muslims believe that when an eclipse happens, it means that allah is angry, furious!
They believe that because allah told them in his book! So they go and pray "the eclipse prayer" in mosques!
Does that mean that by predicting the lunar eclipse this tuesday (december 21 2010), humans are actually predicting god's "mood" on that day?
HAHAHA

Ayn Rand's Poli¢e $tate
I received a ticket today. As a government employee I am painfully aware how federal and state funding is at its annual end, and the police are prodded to extract revenue from the masses by playing a ridiculous game of numbers. Thirteen miles over the speed limit was the arbitrary number of the day. While in suburbanite cities such a speed could be hazardous to children at play; but on highways it is typically (as it was this day) the flow of traffic. The blue lights flicker and for a moment…

Defeating the Bible , One chapter at a Time! (Genesis Chapter 4)
Chapter 4 hath arrived!!
Let’s groove tonight!!
“The man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, "I have produced a man with the help of the LORD." Next she bore his brother Abel. Abel became a keeper of flocks, and Cain a tiller of the soil. In the course of time Cain brought an offering to the LORD from the fruit of the soil, while Abel, for his part, brought one of the best firstlings of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on…

My Story
I figure this is a decent enough place to post my leaving of religion, especially since it might help the people here get to know me better.
My dislike of church started young. I was never really brought, and although my mother was raised catholic and my dad in a church-ridden area, I never heard anything but hatred of the tithing system growing up--we apparently had a few churches, that when they began going, asked immediately how much of my parent's income could be promised…
