Can it be so difficult to accept that...



Can it be so difficult to accept that fact that not everyone needs an omnipresent, vengeful father figure to make them be good? I find it depressing that Christians and other theists seem to be motivated to be good only by the idea that retribution will be visited upon them if they aren't kind and giving.
