The beauty of science

Prior to science, superstition conquered. Aristotle believed that objects in motion slowed because they simply became "tired." God was reason for all, and all was reason for God.

Due to brilliant minds we have emerged from these opaque ages of knowledge. Newton enlightened us with mathematical logic in the 17th century. He also enlightened us with knowledge of optics,…

Right to question Islam

We have right to question. Prophet Muhammed is a pedophile he married aisha at 6 and consummated his marriage at 9 according to Wikipedia. Why can't we question this and say its wrong? Why should be people scared to point this out?

God Killed My Mother-in-Law (Figuratively, but Still...)

My mother-in-law has, once again, hopped on the religious roller coaster and has been re-rebaptised. When my husband was very small, she and his father answered god's calling and flew to Haiti to serve as missionaries for several months. My husband can recall forgetting what his parents looked like. Fast forward a couple of years: he can then recall their drunken, happy faces, white lines on dinner plates, and home-made honey bear bongs. Fast forward a few years after THAT: she's armed with…

Female Christianity

http://brainhulklogicsmash.blogspot.com/

----------------------------------------------------------------------

From time to time, we'll have Christians going door to door in our neighborhood trying to sell their religion to everyone and anyone who will listen. One thing that surprises me is how often the proselytizers are women or young girls. This surprises me, because religion often treats women as second…

How I Became Pen Pals With My Daughter

In August of 2009, my wife of 20 years filed false claims against me of violently abusing her one unforgettable day that month. The restraining order insanely issued against me due to these false claims remains in effect to this day, and likely will for quite some time. I remain homeless and unemployed due to this viscious act committed by my former spouse.

Molly, my now ex wife, did this in order to acquire a tactical advantage in a divorce she clearly wants that I was completely…

Hitting Bottom: A Personal Story

"We were train wrecks for different reasons, so we were perfect for each other."

by Dan Abshear

(for henrymakow.com)

About two years ago, my then wife of 20 years decided to falsely accuse me of violently abusing her. A restraining order was issued against me by her as well, so I was evicted out of my own home. Soon after that, I was arrested related to these false accusations and wrongfully incarcerated for over a month.

While in jail, I spoke with quite a…

Partied with a Baptist Preacher for the 1st time!

This past weekend a fellow atheist and I went to Harrison, Arkansas and picked about 600 pounds of St. Vincents wine grapes. They're a fairly new hybrid of vinifera and we were curious as to what kind of wine we could make from them. The guy who owns the small vineyard is a 60 year old non-practicing Catholic in poor health. We got to know more about him through the course of the day and discovered he has turned his property over to a friend who was able to alleviate some of his…

The Sunni/Shia' Issues

Here are some of the Sunni/Shia' issues from my own perspective.

Well, as far as we know that thses issues are the most complicated issues in Islam..

I'll write here some few information about this mess..

~One of the issues here is: Who's going to be a Caliph after the death of Muhammed Sunnis say: Muhammed chose Abu Bakr as a Caliph.. Shia say: Muhammed chose Ali as a Caliph..…

Innocence of Muslims: A film review

You may or may not have noticed a certain film, the, um, I guess protagonist, was a rather controversial choice.

I found the leading man’s performance to be quite captivating, the way he cowered at angry women, and searched their vaginas for “devils”, which I can only assume is some sort of antiquated venereal disease, was rather engaging to say the least. He managed to look just stoned enough, the entire time mind you, to give the whole production a very “Tim and Eric” like quality…

Can you forget you're an atheist?

Everyday it seems that some how there is always an occurrence that reminds me of my atheism. Something on the news or the documentary channel or a statement made by someone I encounter triggers an unspoken realization that what was presented to me is in direct conflict with my atheism. It seems trivial at times and then again there are instances where I am hard pressed to keep my 'pie hole' shut.

Is this normal? Do others commonly make it through a day with no thoughts about their…
