"Sunday Morning Wasn't Easy" NSFW

I hated Sunday morning

Getting dressed up to be my best

Driving to church in silence

Waiting to hear what's next

Promises with catches to them

Making me feel inadequate

I would promise myself

That one day I would have a hit

All I asked for was someone for me that gave a shit

But all I got was a "god" that made me feel lonely instead

Hope found itself dead

Yeah my… Continue

Christian Stalker

This is really funny and yet also quite disturbing. An assistant to the Michigan States Attorney General has been stalking and cyber bullying the UM student council president. I'll repeat that... the assistant Attorney General... A GROWN UP... is cyber bullying and stalking a 21 year old student, under the guise of a political campaign as a "Christian Citizen", because the student is gay. As Christopher Hitchens recently said in his Slate article on Bishop Eddie Long, "I have a rule of thumb… Continue

Is there a sense of determinism in the universe? Does the universe have a purpose?

My personal understanding of the universe is that there is no definite purpose for the universe, merely that the universe is a result of a series of events, which were the series of a previous series of events, which in turn, are the result of a previous series of… Continue

The world is in some real strife at the moment. We are approaching a point where experts believe that we will live in an unsustainable way within the next few years, and the population of Earth will reach 9 billion by the middle of this century. While it is true that, for the majority of people living on Earth today, our lives have improved in health and… Continue

Jesus Doesn't Love You

Jesus loves me! This I know, For the Bible tells me so. Wait... no it doesn't. My wife was mimicking the song as a joke and it struck me, the Bible doesn't say that Jesus loves you. Cite the passage or it never happened. People have inferred Jesus' love. But is that really good enough?…

Fast "Facts", a Christian Debating iPhone App - Part 3

Welcome to the third installment in what is sure to be a lengthy response to the claims and arguments made in the popular Christian iPhone app for debaters and apologists, called Fast Facts.

In the first two parts, as well as this one, I will be tackling the section of the app under the "Challenges and Tactics" category. There are so many counter-arguments to supposedly popular claims and challenges, and so much to say about most of them, that…

What are you going to regret some day?

Odds are its missing an opportunity.

Missing out on telling someone how you feel. Not taking that chance. Just because you thought it might end badly. You just let it pass you by because you were too afraid to not give it a real try.

Thats what you are going to regret some day.

I have done some things I wish I hadn't. Things that I think I would take…

Two meanings of sorry

I glanced at the newspapers today to see the fawning coverage the UK press is giving to Ratzinger's "state visit", and noticed a headline saying something like "Pope apologises to abuse victims"...

It got me thinking.

In my line of work people tell me their problems. They talk about the terrible things that have happened to them. And I tell them how sorry I am. This almost always confuses them. After all, the things they are telling me are never my fault.

Unlike the… Continue

"Should" is Not a Good Reason to Restrain Free Speech

Much press and debate has been created due to Rev. Terry Jones announcement that he would burn a Quran, the holy book of Islam. Jones, of the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, had planned to burn the book on the 9th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. As of this writing, he has recanted his desire to ever burn a Quran and the deed went unfulfilled.

What it sparked has been a… Continue
