Does Protesting Religion Give It More Influence?

OK, here's something to think about. My boyfriend is not a religious person at all. However, he is of the opinion that religion helps some people, and he really doesn't see how it can do any harm. He thinks that all wars are fought because of physical things, like land or oil, and doesn't see how religion has any part in it. Why do people assume something bad happen to me? Why do people assume that without god there is no happiness and you must be mad at god to be an Atheist? Just a random thought

I was wasting time on the internet between classes when I was suddenly struck by a funny idea. Now, I don't know much about genetics, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if Jesus really was born through immaculate conception as christians claim, then wouldn't he have had to be a she?
