They Tell Lies

Dear They,

I've grown weary of your involvement in everything that I disagree with. Just today I was discussing schools not allowing children to say "under God" and it turns out, you were behind it. I found it egregious that you were doing this. Sadly when I pressed for your location, my friend couldn't tell me where you were doing this. You are lucky They. I would have called up to confront you on the matter.

Through out my life you have said so many things that have… Continue

Why I don't eat babies

This is a post I wrote recently on my blog, http://www.teenageatheist.com , I figured it would be interesting to get some feedback from an atheist community.

Islam: Why the Separation of Church and State Must be Absolute

With license from God to wipe out cities, kill all the males and take all the females, the Old Testament is every bit as violent and hateful as the Quran (if not more so). But modern Judeo-Christian religions and their adherents ignore these antiquated verses. Islam, on the other hand, has not enjoyed the same kinds of reforms that Christianity and Judaism have. Extreme violence might be shared by both scriptures but, as a percentage of text, the Quran exhorts the faithful to violence more than… Continue

Anne Rice - the Wanderer

You may have missed this but Anne Rice has quit Christianity. That's right - the famous author is supposedly done with the Church. What I found interesting in this article is not the title but what she said beyond the headline.

....said Wednesday that she refuses to be "anti-gay, anti-feminist, anti-science and anti-Democrat."

Politics aside, good for her. Welcome to humanism.

"For those who… Continue

Speculation

What would happen to the world in general, do you think, if some diabolical cabal managed to trigger Tsar scale (60 megatons or so) thermonuclear devices in Jerusalem, Mecca, and the Vatican?

According to legend, God came down to the mountain and etched 10 rules of living into the rock for the people of Israel. As we know, up until then the Israeli people were murdering each other, stealing stuff, working all the time, and coveting all over the place. The Israelites knew God was serious after he killed all those people for building and worshipping that giant ass while he was busy with cavorting with Moses, who accidentally broke the stone tablets in the process (don’t worry, god… Continue

The Horrible Mistakes of Ken Ham

So I initiated a discussion on light recently and noted the wrong creationist as being in jail. I was made aware of a request to correct the matter. The contact was made in a very professional manner. As soon as I was aware, I took care of it and the person making contact was happy. The noting of the person being in jail was material to the story and not a matter of trying to disparage anyone. However, noting someone is… Continue
