Why Christianty makes sense and other reglions don’t.

Even a superficial perusal of other religions should convince any right thinking person that Christianty is the only true relgion:

1. Muslims believe whatever the Koran says is absolutely…

The Family You Can't Tell: Why for now, it is just not their business...

They are extreme, to say the least, and not only dislike but disown whatever is different from themselves. My family is such a group of people. Try to even vote differently on politics, and there is a war. (I have done this and had that fight with them - though?? I know for a fact they…

Does an Atheist Have a Soul?

I've not covered this topic as yet, so what a better time to do so than now?

I've covered death, afterlife, evolution, space, existentialism, gods, demons, medicine et al., but haven't really touched on soul. And there's a reason for it, it's a difficult topic to cover with any sense of authority because it's a grey area, one where there is… Continue

Keep Your Prayers

Sometimes being different in society leaves you with little ability to show tact and stand up for yourself. Christopher Hitchens being ill brings forth the notion of praying for Atheists. After considering the notion for a month or so beyond my personal loss early this year, I'm reaching what feels like a conclusion. Praying for an Atheist is not only rude, but it's self-serving and I'd thank religionists to stop.

A member of TA recently suffered a loss. On their Facebook…

My head... It hurts.

More adventures from my wife's work day. From time to time the conversations of my wife and her co-workers pass into discussion on religion. Well, today was one of those days. She couldn't remember what they were discussing, but did remember these two points that temp workers made. The first one said that he doesn't understand Atheists, "They bash religion all the time, yet most of them feel the need to meet up in groups, attend Atheist conventions and join websites". Basically a loose version… Continue

Wisconsin 'God Squad' gets cease-and-desist letter

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - A Wisconsin priest has God on his car but Best Buy's lawyers on his back.

Father Luke Strand at the Holy Family Parish in Fond Du Lac says he has received a cease-and-desist letter from the electronics retailer.

At issue is Strand's black Volkswagen Beetle with door stickers bearing the name "God Squad" in a logo similar to that of Best Buy's Geek Squad, a group of electronics troubleshooters.

Did God's Plan go wrong?

Why did an all-powerful, all-knowing being create an ETERNAL TORTURE CHAMBER and fill it with MOST of his creation? Was that THE PLAN?

If that wasn't the raises the more worrying question (for theists).. Did God's Plan go wrong?

Why did he create a universe where he had to kill himself to save a tiny portion of it?

What is this ultimate purpose for our existence that theists are always rambling on about in their arguments for an…

Last Church Service

So, I've been pretty firm in my beliefs for a little over a year now, but despite being a sophomore in college, I do have to come back home for the summers. Ironically, my parents are pastors of their own church that is fairly fundamentalist. I of course cannot come out to them because I'm almost 100% sure that they'd disown me, and I am currently not capable of sustaining myself; however, I go back to school on Thursday and I'm very happy because this is the last week I have to be subjected to… Continue

What is Agnosticism? Random Thoughts

I had a conversation earlier this evening that inspired me to write this post. Now, please bear with me. I haven't slpet much after catching a late show last night of Scott Pilgrim vs the World and so this may seem a little... is "rambly" a word? No, it's not. Rambling then. But I like "rambly". Can we all agree to use that word from now on? I hope so. Anyway, sorry, I'm being rambly.

Not too long ago I came across an article not unlike…

"Out Of One Chain" NSFW

See I need more than their beliefs to live

Make believe gods and savior speech don’t give

I need someone that I can actually feel

Someone next to me that exists actually really real

Able to walk and stay strong without giving up

Motivating me to walk along even when it’s rough

Do you know how hard that is to find

When everyone lives in the past and I’m leaving the past behind

Blind people that know it all and are quick to stall

Unable to walk but goddamn they… Continue

End Timers, Demon Hunters, and other Biblical Sadist.

I saw this question posted by an Creationist fundamentalist:

"...if "GOD" is Ficticious....then Why are They SO THREATENED??"

The answer is simple. I will try to relay that answer to you in a way that would be easy for you to understand.

The people who have control of the most destructive weapons on the planet, who have their finger on the button to bring on the end of the world, truly believe that there was a talking…

Changing Your World View Can Change Little Details Too

You ever tried to quit smoking? I have. Numerous times. Once you've gotten past the fits and irritation and the snapping at your mailman, you get into that mindset "now I'm a non-smoker". At that point, you actually start looking at the world around you as a non-smoker, too. You see people huddled around outside of their place of business, all smoking away and you think "How can they do that?" You hear reports on the news about how many people die from lung cancer ever year and you think "I'm… Continue

The same creepy Gainesville, Florida folks who gave us the “no homo

claim that queers hate good ol’ American free speech because they “don’t

want to hear the truth about their perverted lifestyles,” will now
