More info on the St Paul Saints atheist theme night..

I know we don't have too many from MN here, but I have to share this..

By Jonathan Terbush

Saturday, July 14, 2012 20:35 EDT

For one night, Minnesota’s St. Paul Saints will become the St. Paul Aints as the independent league baseball team celebrates atheism and other assorted skepticism with their Night of Unbelievable…

Boycott The Scouts

It has long been common knowledge that Boy Scouts of America and the LGBT Community or indeed the Atheist Community don’t exactly see eye to eye.

The Boy Scouts of America is a large private youth organisation in the United States. I has very strict policies which prohibit atheists from membership in its…

For promo night,St. Paul Saints' (minor league baseball) inspiration isn't at all divine

(normally I don't post the entire article, but in this case I will.. )

By Joe Soucheray

At first I thought it was a joke and I had to go into verification mode, only to discover that it isn't a joke and that on the night of Aug. 10 the St. Paul Saints are having…

The presumptuous Billy Graham

Another post from my blog: http://www.brainhulklogicsmash.blogspot.com/

Sunday I was reading the local paper when I ran across the following Q&A column by Billy Graham.

Faith must be nurtured to thrive

How can one see and still be so blind?

There is a photo I saw on Facebook, and it said "When I see this 'Consider the implications of this fact: when the word became flesh, God was an embryo.' I read this 'If you have four pencils and I have seven apples, how many pancakes will fit on the roof? Purple, because aliens don't wear hats."

I think that this truly captures the laughable absurdity of religion, and shows to anyone willing to think just how silly religion is. But unfortunately, I remembered that most theists who…

Eggs for the Kids at Kasese Humanist Primary School Fundraiser

I've been working with Bwambale Robert, the project director of the Kasese Humanist Primary School in Uganda on a way to get more nutritious meals to their young students

I'm pleased to announce the launch of a two-phase project to get a large secure coop built on the school!  Chickens mean eggs.  Eggs mean better fed brains.  Better fed brains can be…

Special Petition to Free Alexander Aan (got arrested for being an atheist)

CFI has started a special petition for Alex Aan (an Indonesian who is now in jail because of being an atheist). Unlike other petition, this one is on White House website. To guarantee a response from the Obama administration, this petition must receive at least 25,000 signatures within 30 days. Can you help us spreading this?

Questions Dealing With Ghosts

There’s been times when I’ll sit down and watch a show dealing with ghosts like Ghost Hunters and I’ll always have questions going through my head while watching them.  There are so many things that simply don’t make sense to me, which is why I don’t believe they exist.  I figured I’d go ahead and list a few of these questions here.

  1. What are ghosts supposedly…

The evolution of my atheism

I believe that everything that has happened was supposed to happen because it happened...not that the things that happened have been pre-destined but just that they can't be undone once they are done...that I must take each occurrence in my life as an opportunity to learn something that I did not know before. I also know that I am lucky to be able to say something as self centred as this, especially since this is an evolution of a far more ridiculous statement that I had made maybe more than… Continue

Facebook woes

People really like to post religious stuff on facebook and i'm never really sure if I should respond or not.  On the one hand, it might be easier to just let it go and not care.  However, if they put it out there on Facebook, then shouldn't they expect that people will comment on it?  I've been torn by this in the past year or so.

In related news, them Christians really like …
