viral tragedy

oh our western privileged lives

are so boring

so mundane that

we keep our eyes glued to the screens,

be them big or small,

wide or tall,

compact or filling the

room,

these visual mishaps,

fresh new catastrophes,

murder rates, serial killers,

rapes, burning villages,

dead bodies strewn on the ground,

floods, oil spills, lightening striking

where the tornadoes &

the hurricanes haven’t…

The horror which is Iran's leadership

First off all, I am not warmongering, I am just clarifying the beast we are dealing with. I don't know what is the best strategy, I am "agnostic" about the best solution: I am not opposed to war, but I fear I must realize I will require proof in blood. As in that Iran will have to actually attack another country in something qualifying as "militarily". I'm not sure exactly what qualifies as the associated blood count.. But in any event I feel the attacks in …

Aurora

so, another shooting in

the belly of the empire…

i wonder if Charlton Heston’s

withery old cock just

sprung to life?

i wonder if Ted Nugent &

Charlton Heston are sitting in

front of the television together

stroking each other’s hard hard

members with one hand,

whilst gripping their guns in the

others?

i wonder if James Holmes grew up

in the same culture that

dwells…

all “god’s” plan

without regret

Zimmerman took

the life of a young boy &

now looks back on it

as if it was all part of

his imaginary “god’s”

plan & regardless of

whether or not said

judeo-christian sitting in

front of their boob tube,

buried in the July-heat-

smoldering (couldn’t

be global warming) empire,

thinks that

Zimmerman

did in fact kill Trayvon,

or that Zimmerman is a

By Jonathan Terbush

Boycott The Scouts

It has long been common knowledge that Boy Scouts of America and the LGBT Community or indeed the Atheist Community don’t exactly see eye to eye.

The Boy Scouts of America is a large private youth organisation in the United States. I has very strict policies which prohibit atheists from membership in its…

For promo night,St. Paul Saints' (minor league baseball) inspiration isn't at all divine

(normally I don't post the entire article, but in this case I will.. )

By Joe Soucheray

At first I thought it was a joke and I had to go into verification mode, only to discover that it isn't a joke and that on the night of Aug. 10 the St. Paul Saints are having…

How can one see and still be so blind?

There is a photo I saw on Facebook, and it said "When I see this 'Consider the implications of this fact: when the word became flesh, God was an embryo.' I read this 'If you have four pencils and I have seven apples, how many pancakes will fit on the roof? Purple, because aliens don't wear hats."

I think that this truly captures the laughable absurdity of religion, and shows to anyone willing to think just how silly religion is. But unfortunately, I remembered that most theists who…

Eggs for the Kids at Kasese Humanist Primary School Fundraiser

I'm pleased to announce the launch of a two-phase project to get a large secure coop built on the school!  Chickens mean eggs.…

Special Petition to Free Alexander Aan (got arrested for being an atheist)

CFI has started a special petition for Alex Aan (an Indonesian who is now in jail because of being an atheist). Unlike other petition, this one is on White House website. To guarantee a response from the Obama administration, this petition must receive at least 25,000 signatures within 30 days. Can you help us spreading this?

Religion is Oil

Perhaps we needed it, perhaps we could have managed without it, but since the discovery of oil our economy has relied on it. Our society has been (literally) fuel by oil. It has done wonders for our world and the impact of oil cannot be disputed. As great of a use as oil has been in our short history, it has now become detrimental to use it. These days it is destroying our world. Sure, we once relied on this fossil fuel, but now it's time to start using an alternative energy…

Questions Dealing With Ghosts

There’s been times when I’ll sit down and watch a show dealing with ghosts like Ghost Hunters and I’ll always have questions going through my head while watching them.  There are so many things that simply don’t make sense to me, which is why I don’t believe they exist.  I figured I’d go ahead and list a few of these…
