Who here has been attacked by a religious nutcase?

I have been verbally attacked on a number of occassions, i was yelled at by a christian who said i need to join a religion to be saved, i said saved for what and yep you guessed it my SINS.

I was told my cousin was going to hell because he is a homosexual and can only be saved if he accepts jesus and starts dating women lol.

Choosing and free will

We are all determinists even if we unaware of it. We do not expect the car to start by itself. We do not expect the grass to cut itself. We do not expect the food to make its way to our mouth without using a spoon or fork. We do not expect the window to open or close without our taking some action. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point.

Questions for LDS

Why did the LDS church conveniently “forget” to include all of Brigham Young’s wives in the manual that was published about his teachings for use in Sunday School? At the very minimum don’t you find that to be a betrayal of those people whose ancestor was not deemed worthy of being mentioned? And how about all the other teachings such as Blood Sacrifice that Brigham Young also taught fervently in those days, that were left out? A question I hear from time to time is "so what were your reasons for becoming an atheist?"

I don't like this question because I've been an atheist for seven years and have learned a lot over the years. Quite simply, my reasons for being an atheist now are in some ways different than the reasons I had for becoming an atheist in the first place.
