Avoid Blasphemy in pakistan

You could be burnt alive in a kiln, decapitated with an axe, have your career destroyed and basically your existence taken away from you in one way or the other if you are accused of blasphemy. Now with people queuing for blasphemy proofing measures, we’ve come up with a few tips that collectively form a security jacket against blasphemy allegations.

Here’s what the jacket is composed of:

Don’t be a non-Muslim

This one’s obvious. If you’re a Muslim the odds are… Continue

The old school definition of the planets was "Any of these seven celestial bodies, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, that shineth and wandereth about the starry heavens" or something like that. The specific language has been…

Arkansas legislative proposal to remove state's dual celebration of Lee & King

Little Rock, Ark. • Two Arkansas legislators said Wednesday it is inappropriate to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and the leader of the Confederate Army on the same day and proposed ending the state's decades-old tradition of honoring Robert E. Lee.

Arkansas is one of just three states to jointly celebrate King, the black civil-rights leader, and Lee, the white Confederate general, on the third Monday of January. Some have labeled the practice…

Who didn't see this coming? :(

Why there are laws that protect spiritual and religious morons from abusing their children and letting them die...is beyond me. Canada and other Nordic countries and their false-liberalism often leaves me aghast.…

Marriage and Alcohol

I got married Thursday and it was the greatest thing to ever happen to me. However....we already had our first fight. Well, not so much a fight, just a confrontation. She thinks I drink too much. Now, granted I drink a lot but that's because it's really hard for me to get drunk. Even when intoxicated I'm very well coordinated (physically) and in control (mentally). But her father was a violent drunk. And the last thing I would ever want is for her to be scared of me like she was of that…

The Hive & The Honey Bee

Sometimes we can be surprised by the comments of an author when reading a book. I am currently reading a book first published in 1878 concerning the inner workings of a honeybee hive. The author, L.L. Langstroth, was one of the first individuals to propose using what is today the 'frame and box' method of housing honey bees; a movable comb hive, if you will.

In the book much discussion is presented about the impregnation of the queen and the ratio of drone to worker bee eggs that are…

The Keeling Curve

I think the following graph speaks for itself. We can discuss whether or not humans are responsible for the sudden, unquestionably drastic spike in CO2 represented on this particular graph, but I'm primarily interested in learning if anyone of significance in science disputes the overall accuracy of the graph?

Click on the graph to see a selection of more recent timeframes (X-axis).…
