There’s very little that we can actually talk about that wouldn’t, in some way, correlate, and in one way or another be linked too, if not be directly affiliated with God. It doesn’t matter if your conversations linger on the weather, which is set in motion by its’ creator, or if you prefer to discuss the fundamentals of…

CLEARWATER — Gary L. Gauthier, the former host of a Saturday morning Christian radio show called “It’s God’s Money,” is one of two men arrested this month in a Ponzi scheme that defrauded 38 people in the Tampa Bay area of $6 million, according to court documents.
Gauthier, 64, who now lives in Okemos, Mich., was arrested last week in Tampa, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. David George Dreslin, 54, of Seminole, was arrested earlier in the month, the FDLE…

The leader of a Satanic temple said he has been touched by the support his group has received for its proposal to place a monument next to the Ten Commandments at the Oklahoma State Capitol.
“It’s really encouraging. It’s really moving. We do get a lot of messages that start out with the caveat, ‘You know I am a…

Ignorance- The lack of knowledge or information
That's a word with a meaning that people use to be complete jerks at times. A word we don't even realize it's more of a compliment and honesty then it is even a insult or a "Bad thing" Maybe i am not the one understanding but i think i got a pretty god handle on things and i want to state that Ignorance isn't bad that not being sure or having lack of Knowledge means nothing bad because someone who lacks in…

Douglas Murray, unquestionably. He is atheist ("Mohammed made me an atheist"), hard on Islam, is pro-gay marriage, pro- Iraq War, and very much for free speech. He is an Oxford-educated historian and author.

Aurora is a pretty thing, a real pretty thing.
If you haven't seen it, and want to, I'll tell you how. Call your local astronomy club. Those geeks will go on and on about it, and put you on a list to be called if someone sees it happening. You have to agree to receive the call at anytime of night because this stuff is very unpredictable and may only last half an hour…

I do not believe in a designer, buddy god, nor an ultimate creator god. Why? I haven't seen any evidence. When I speak with religious people, I am less interested in changing their views than I am in understanding WHY they have the beliefs they do in light of all the evidence that contradicts such beliefs. I will ask the simple "why" question to see how they respond. Even the most knowledgeable theist and apologist will give a final answer whose essence is in the following…

My past lives in my hometown. And the past is...
ignorant. humble. high. toilsome. joy. sorrow. purpose. embarrassing. prophetic. beautiful. raw. aching. sound. shameful. misled. honor. lonely. dead.
Devastating. Shameful disgrace. Leaving the love of my life! I grieve the loss of my Christ, my everything.
And it took all the courage in the world.
I'm disappointing the people I love the most and I'm learning to be okay with it. From being pushed away, I'm…

The majority of asteroids are just silly little rocky bits of junk between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, the crumbs that fell from the plate as those planets were served up on the solar dinner table. This crumby region is known as the Asteroid Belt.
[insert suspender joke]
There are other tribes of asteroids gathered here and there. For…

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? Well yeah, maybe. Or maybe not. It probably has something to do with those pesky ancient Babylonians and their obsession with overwrought symbolism. Somehow they got onto a kick about how magical the number 60 is, and how that divides nicely by 12, and then some of the grain stock got wet and smelly, and well I think you can…

I remember during classes our African language teacher brought up homosexuals.
The moment sticks in my head, even though we made nothing of it at the time. My mission group and I were spending eight months in a very poor, rural area of Africa. A local teacher was instructing us in the language of the country.
He was an okay teacher, but sometimes it seemed like he just picked words at random to teach us, instead of those that would be most useful. One day he had us learn the…

If you’ve ever heard a Christian talking with an ex-Christian they don’t know who has recently lost the faith, you’ve heard the believer say something like this: “I’m sorry you had a bad experience with that church. They really weren’t showing you the love of Christ at all. I know Jesus, and he’s about love. He would never approve of (insert odious thing the church was doing).”
I’ve been surprised to realize recently that I no longer believe this. A big part of the problem I have with…

This is probably my favourite passage from the Principia Discordia. I hope it gives some new perspectives.
ContinueHere follows some psycho-metaphysics.
If you are not hot for philosophy, best just to skip it.
The Aneristic Principle is that of apparent order; the Eristic Principle is that of apparent disorder. Both order and disorder are man made concepts and are artificial divisions of pure chaos, which is a level deeper than is the level of…
