- Born and raised into a fundamentalist christian community...and it was awful and brainwashing. I became atheist after enough scientific education and my experiences in the real world. I am ashamed of my past, but I am now proud to be an atheist and a humanist :)

- It is very difficult to find atheism in the bible belt, so this is a great way to meet other rational free-thinkers without fear of being ostracized by my community.
