New Year, Still Atheist

I haven't been here in a while... I was chastised for posting in the incorrect spot, and I felt rebellious against the rules and ran away for a bit. I can be a child (and I don't care). Plus, I was very busy graduating from nursing school, starting my job as a RN and also starting my nursing bachelor's program. I also have heathens to raise and a husband to be a wife to.
I love being a nurse. I love my job, I love my coworkers, I love my paycheck. I'm a pretty happy camper…

Halloween approaches. My youngest, who is in kindergarten, is gearing up for her class party, which is still considered a "Halloween party" and she will be able to wear a costume and load up on sugar. My oldest, I have learned, has a few offspring of party-poopers in her class. Her teacher reported to my mother-in-law (who picked my little ladies up from school the other day) that she was still deciding on how to hold the party and that she will send out a letter soon.

I am currently participating in my psychiatric rotation for school. I attended the "Spirituality Group" today out of pure morbid curiosity. It was as expected, so I won't go into that.

Just a quickie blog. I just watched a recent episode of "Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman" concerning whether or not god exists and if we can "find" him/her/it.

- Hi M.. no problem! I sense the need is going to increase as we approach 2015 when the Millennium Development Goals have tio be achieved. I think it will all have a greater public profile and of course 5 of the Goals have a partial or total health element. It really is fantastic and life-changing. I am off to Sierrra Leone for the 4th time on 1st October, just for a week, then probably to Zimbabwe for my first visit mid/end of October.
