"I come from the Denis Leary school of coffee; I prefer coffee-flavored coffee. That and Starbucks is expensive... This is why we make coffee in the office with our ugly, ugly coffee pot."

"BLASPHEMY!!! Nah. We like it a little better in the office. Little less acidic."

"I'm up in Maine. We have Tim Horton's up this way. The coffee is better than Dunkin's, as are the baked goods, if any of you ever get the chance."

Your Religious Status
About Me:
Cultural Jew and trained scientist. Leaving science after I finish my master's for law school later this summer. I also teach Taekwondo.

I have a love-hate relationship with squirrels. Because they are ridiculous creatures.

If you're going to IM me, do me the service of saying you're from thinkatheist so I don't raise a concerned eyebrow.
Why are you here?
To encounter and interact with others who have escaped from the shackles of faith for a more evolved state of mind.

I've been here before, and I left because I had other things I needed to be doing. But now I'm back.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
Had to make some hard decisions, and was told it was because god was testing me. A compassionate god does not test the faith of a kid. I've also found that the real trick is not having faith in yourself, but rather in learning about yourself, and that knowing yourself well enough allows you to begin to know others; seek a pearl of personal enlightenment towards general illumination.
