Why are you here?
I forget how I got here already. Probably, found a link posted on one of the atheist pages on Facebook,
The religion you left
Was never a part of one
Why you left your religion.
My mom, and especially grandmother, tried to get me into Christianity (Prosbetherianity(?)) and I got baptised and wore a cross as a kid, without understanding why I had to. Eventually, my grandma decided to read "Bible for Children" to me and my younger brother. The book claimed there were people in the past who lived for 10,000 years (each person) instead of current 60–100 years because they did not sin. There right then, I started to suspect it was all made up.
I was mostly agnostic until about 24, when I've read "The Science of Superstition: How The Developing Brain Creates Supernatural Beliefs" by Bruce M. Hood, and that was the moment when I stopped fearing that "god" would punish me for doubting his existence, and became a free-thinking atheist :)
