- Funny story really, I was about 5 and loved dinosaurs and watched any video tape and read any book about them that I could get my hands on. My mother took me to church because I had asked what it was like and I went to the Sunday school. The topic of the day was Adam and Eve, and a bit into the story I raised my hand and asked about the dinosaurs. The scientists I idolized had said that people and dinos didn't live together, and the story said everything was made at once. They told me that I was wrong, that dinos were a lie. I stood there, holding my plastic T-rex, and got so angry I started to cry and start screaming at them. Dinosaurs are real! My mother was called, and we were shipped off never to return. She took me out for ice cream after, I think she was proud of me.
That was the end of religion for me.

Many of us have all heard the claim that God/Jesus, as the source of all goodness is the only teacher we have about how to be good, and humanity on its own is a despicable race of
