Im scared to tell anyone im an atheist... Its really hard for me to talk to my family about how much i've changed. My friends have stopped being my friends since i opened my eyes and saw that blind faith for what it really is, a lie. Im angry at everyone who talks to me about religion because everyone is alloud to talk about how good jesus love is and things like that, but when i talk about how jesus love is not real for me i get rejected. I know i shouldnt worry that much about what people…

first of all, im new at this, i have never worked a blog before so, i really dont know how this works, sorry in advance.
i have some trouble trying to help people understand my reasons for being an atheist, i try and try to explain it with scientific facts, books, writers, just to let them know that its not a whim or an intempt to be different as i've been told many times! but people dont even try to comprehend, its not easy to be an atheist when everyone else thinks you are joking!…

T A A said… Well Canada is a highly moralistic place, it came about from the rejects-loyalists of USA revolution to give themselves a country, whereas loyalists preferred the monarchy. People may be free to talk of anything, but in reality, our lifestyle is quite constrained, right clothing, right speech, right size/weight, right job, right boyfriend, etc. In those regards, the USA is a more open place. My ideal lifestyle would be to live in 4-5 countries on a yearly basis. A waterfront teensy house near the beach in Barcelonetta would be sweet, with occasional visits to the Arecibo observatory, but not year-long of course :)
Plaza de las Americas (giggles) hadn't heard that in a while... I really liked the outlet shopping West of San Juan tho... But if ever you're visiting Canada and want to come all the way north, drop me a line :) Have you visited the mapping tool available on the site?
T A A said… Hola Boriqua!
I lived in San Juan for 6 months in 2003, listened to Ivy Queen, and hung out at the arts cinema in Downtown San Juan. Sometimes I'd head out of town to catch movies in other theatres as well. It was a crazy 6 months, the dock boys were insane. Once Puerto Ricans have had long enough exposure to consumerism and endless shopping malls, I'm sure atheism will be the next big step :) I love the entire Northern coastline, boy if I was a USA citizen I'd be buying property there ! (If I had money ;) Welcome to the club :)
