I'm not a doom and gloom type. I generally see the glass as half full. But I must confess, as I let my mind connect the dots of the economy, the ecology, the downward IQ of society as a whole, at least American society, I feel a dispair I have never experienced. I'm 53 years old. I was raised in a secular household. The first time I ever stepped into a church was when a friend got married out of high school. My father was a school teacher. My mom, a stay at home mom, as they seemingly all were in the 60's. I can remember my mom teaching me to read before I started school. Math too.
