Atheists in court?

I'm curious about appearing in court and being "sworn in". I live in the southern bible belt and assume they still do that -"put yur hand on dis bible and sweaaaar to god to tell du truth"-thing.What does a good Atheist do? Piss off the Judge right away and refuse? Is there an alternative?Or is that whole thing just a Hollywood gimmick?See More
