I'm a college student and National Guardsman. I've deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. In those two years, I saw first hand what hard-core religion can do to oppress people, ideas, and critical thinking. I simply have no respect for any belief system unless is it based on evidence and reason.

Being without religion requires me to pass off the support system religion provides. I'm here to stand with others who share my beliefs.

Why you left your religion.

Christianity, while more peaceful today than in its more violent years, is still highly oppressive to personal liberties, critical thinking, and reason. I refuse to associate myself with a group with such oppressive and unjustifiable beliefs.
