I'm a medical student driven by my desire to help those in need. I dream of a better world free from the intellectual tyranny foisted upon people (primarily children) by religion. I am content to speak to people about my perspective that there is no god, but hope to devote my life to helping people one-on-one as a doctor.
I love music, reading, and making a joke out of pretty much everything in life.

I am a "devout atheist", who often feels somewhat alone in my beliefs (or lack thereof) and subsequent fascination with all things science.

Why you left your religion.
I think atheism is the logical consequence of skepticism and the pursuit of truth. Reading, education, and honest inquiry has made it fairly obvious to me that the existence of a god or gods is at best extremely unlikely and more realistically very childish.
