Was never a part of one
Why you left your religion.
Not saying my parents are atheists or freethinkers they just weren't church people. Did some time in sunday school and a christian summer camp that had very little religious content to it. Most of my exposure to church religion was, I suspect, more the result of an effort to get me and my sister out of our parents hair during the summertime. Special mommy-daddy-alone-time was at a premium during summer vacation.

Never bought into it, the religion that is. Liked the idea of indirectly affecting life through supernatural means, but eventually decided that was just petty, self-important wishfull thinking like the rest of it.

It's an interesting subject. A clarifying adjunct to the study of history and an informative window onto the obscured workings of the human mind.
