Your Religious Status
About Me:
I'm a psychology professor, I serve on the Board of Directors for the Bay Area Skeptics, and I belong to several Atheist and Freethinker groups in the SF Bay Area. I also run a successful Speaker Series at Ohlone College through the Psychology Club there.
Why you left your religion.
I was part of the New Age movement (you need to add that option to your list, btw), and read "The Mask of Nostradamus" by James Randi. Then I took a Psychology class, and that was the beginning of the end of credulousness for me.
