- My brother, sister, and mysef were brought up in a non-believing household. My father studied many different religions as an Atheist and tought us to think for ourselves and apply reason to everything we are told. I am married to a closet Atheist,lol. She doesn't like the bad stigma that comes along with the word Atheist. My 16 and 11 year old sons are both self appointed Atheists by their own choice. Much to the fault of their christian friends. Being the minority is tough sometimes but I don't regret it. Being an Atheist is a constant reminder of life's having an end and therefore reinforcing self disciplines to enjoy a saneness to the end.

Hi Sean, Thanks for sharing about yourself. I feel your pain when it comes to living in country that is full of people that believe in a higher power. I LOVE to read that you and your family are Atheist. It gives me hope that I may someday have the same. It's not well marked but there is a chat feature that you can open up by clicking on the icon in the lower right of the page.
BTW I have a lot of family in Fresno and Clovis. My grandparents on my mom's side lived in Sanger. I'm heading out there Dec 23rd - Jan 2nd to spend the holidays with family. It'll be my first Christmas out there and I'm looking forward to some milder temps instead of the June heat lol.
