I am a 23 year old student working as pharmacy technician and completing the electives for my first degree, Psychology. After graduation I plan to transfer work to Atlanta where I can begin work on my second degree, Pharmaceutical Sciences. I want to integrate what I have learned in these two fields to conduct psychotropic research (without having to go to med school).
I work hard, and play hard, too. If not at school or work I am out with friends, often discussing topics relevant to the issues of my life and the lives of my friends: from politics to philosophy, religion to academia. In my spare time, I can be found reading a classic novel, studying topics outside of school relevant to my area of academic interest. Currently I am striving to educate myself with art, classical music, and opera.

The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
I often questioned what I was being taught in Sunday school. It wasn't until college that I realized that this sort of questioning is encouraged and serves as the basis for the application of reason. I connected with students in my science classes who did not believe in God, and certain professors presented information and resources in ways that allowed me to think critically about the validity of religious claims. After a lot of self-searching and studying, I came to the conclusion that a faith-based life was one that was not in accordance with my reason.
