"It doesn't look like anyone else recommended Richard Dawkin's book "The God Delusion" He talks about this very conundrum, and talks about a spectrum of agnosticism. It is really worth a read, you can always get it from the…"

"Lol. Okay, last attempt. You said: "One can have concluded that God doesn't exist based on the evidence one has considered (atheism" That is not atheism. Atheism is considering that there is not enough evidence to prove that god…"

"I hear where u come from.. im not an atheist either... AGNOSTIC if that's a definition we agree on :) I totally agree with you on comparing aithiests to religious ppl... if ur sure there is no god, then they r sure there is a god... WHO KNOWS…"

"Perceptually many people place agnosticsm in fence sitter position in between theist/deist and atheist.  It is not, most people who would title themselves atheist are by definition agnostic.  Atheism means a lot less than undereducated…"

"Denial is not a river in Egypt. The definition I used may not USE the word God but you've a long way to go to demonstrate that it's inapplicable. Tag, you're it"

"In this instance you grabbed the definition that was not related to the question of God, which is odd since that is what we are talking about. But even the definition of "limited to human experience" means an agnostic posits that we can…"

"Again, agnosticism has nothing to do with the willingness to examine new evidence. You are using it incorrectly when you add it as a descriptor in that way. An atheist means someone who does not believe in god. Exactly that. Adding any sort of…"

"The normal atheist does keep and open mind and is thus also agnostic even if he can't see his way to describe himself as an agnostic atheist. But don't you agree that there are at least occasional self-described atheists with minds closed…"

"Where did you get the definition that precludes an atheist from examining new evidence? Where have you heard an atheist say that nothing would change his mind regarding his disbelief in a god? Agnosticism has nothing to do with the willingness to…"

"It's not incorrect. You're describing those of us who describe ourselves as agnostic atheists. Anyone who's atheist without also being agnostic IS being irrational."

About Me:
Awesome.. I am still creating myself so I'm always changing. One day I realized the world actually is what you want it to be. Now IIve discovered that happiness is inside every one of us, and im suprised it took me so long to figure that out. I play guitar, piano and sing okay. I enjoy skydiving, although i dont do it nearly as much as in the past... slackin'.. My soulmate, Robyn is the shit. She has a few chronic illnesses, which SUCK ASS, but shes my little byrd and I cant get enough. Its as if the universe made sure we found each other. Its weird, but it sure feels that way. I am not into any religions, and im also not an athiest. im AGNOSTIC. I want to learn here at thinkathiest. I always hear Athiests telling me 'youre almost there man, just come over!!!!! JUMP THAT FENCE!!!!" and I dont understand why. I dont know what happens when i die, so how can i say this is it. or there isnt anything else. I dont mean gods and heaven stuff. Im saying WHO KNOWS?!? To me an athiest is someone who believes there IS NO GOD. DONE DEAL. to me thats almost like believingin some higher power... thats why im so confused. what am i missing????

Why are you here?
Checking it out. Trying to find out why ATHIESTS always tell me 'im almost there'. Im agnostic. I dont know what happens when i die. if i say THERE IS NO GOD, its just like saying THERE IS A GOD. hold on now, i understand the odds are like .0000001 that there is something... maybe not a higher power but maybe something completely differrwent. so if i have to take a label, ill take AGNOSTIC but i want to know if there is something i am missing? is there a loophole into being an athiest? Oh imcalso here for the good people and great conversations

Why you left your religion.
My logic kicked in and I realized everyone there was nuts and if they wanna believe they're sinners because someone 6000 years a ago was fooled by a magic talking snake into eating an apple, then let'em... After Santa I was done. Now I'm happy and living a very interesting life....
