"It really just is an excuse. Usually in a circumstance such as mine, one would look to religion to comfort where as I looked down upon it. Someone telling me that almost sounded like an excuse for my assailant.

"I grew up without actually facing true religion. My parents weren't overtly religious by any means, and it wasn't forced upon me. I did go through a phase where I was trying to find some sort of spirituality but came to a point of…"

I'm studying to be an Illustrator in Oakville, ON. I'm a proud Canadian and I love to read, draw, paint, and sing. I love just sitting around and being with my own thoughts.
Why are you here?
I'm here because a friend of mine posted a link and I was really ecstatic to find a site where there were others who think freely, critically and logically. I come from a family, while Buddhist, did not push religion on me and allowed me to be free with my thoughts and I wish to find others who also think so.

Why you left your religion.
I wasn't really ever a part of a religion but I felt that I would talk about why I steer clear. I remember going through school with religious and Christian people who did try and convince me to come to their churches. After going a few times just to learn, I didn't want to become a part of an organization that looks down upon things as natural as sex, or who looked down a certain group of people (race, sexual preference.)
